I just love the lines in the dirt!
I love St. George, UT. We were taking a family trip over to the petroglyphs. Along the dirt road side I noticed these beautiful lines. I made my husband stop so I could get out and take pictures of the ground. I didn't think looked too crazy taking picture of the ground until I got back in the car and saw the look on my husbands face (He doesn't get it, lol)

Fixing spots and bringing out colors
Sometimes when I look at a photo that I hate or that I look crappy in, I think of how I can make it look better even if I have to change it all together.
With this photo, I hated, my shinny face and my sons bright faded face. I darkend it up a bit then cropped it and then started to play with eyebrighten and mascara. Don't look at the photo on the left too long, I look crappy. ;

Colors!!!
With PicMonkey.com I turned this picture into.....
This!
I brought out the colors and brightened it up a bit. Now it looks like a tree you would find in a tropical forest or something like that. Instead it was taken at the park while watching my little boy play in to water.
It makes a nice abstract picture.

Leon
This is from our Zion's trip a couple months ago. In the first pic you can see Levi, my husband, holding Leon up. :) I used PicMonkey.com to edit it.
Most times I crop my pic first then go into exposure and sharpen but this time I went into exposure and highlighted it up then brought out the shadows first. After that I then went into sharpen and brought out the sharpness to about half way. I don't bring out the clarity that much in pics I want to look realistic. So in this pic is was about 1/4 the way up. I use clarity the most with pics I want to look more abstract or artsy.
Other wise this is what you get.

My back yard
Here in sunny old St. George we don't get very many clouds so when I saw this I had to take a picture of them. I love the colors of the clouds. So the first one is the original and the second is my edited one. Not sure which one I like the most.

Dawson
This is my little sisters baby boy, Dawson. I love this little face!!!
It looked like he was a little too far away so I cropped it and re-sized it. After that I highlighted and sharpened it up a bit. Then I just messed with the effects part in PicMonkey editor by going back and forth with the different categories. I really like how it came out!

Main focus
I look crappy in this but Leon's face is beautiful! I used my old camera for this. I has few to no pixels. If you want to enlarge your pics then you need a camera that has more mega pixels.
I only wanted Leon to be the main focus so I cropped everything out and made it 8*10 size. Its a little more fuzzy than I wanted but I still like it. On PicMonkey if you first use the highlight and shadow, then go in to sharpen and use sharpness and clarity it makes the pic come out. After that I go back and forth from effects and touch up.

Leon may 2013
This is as the kite festival in St George, 2013!!
I cropped the pic to only show what I wanted to main focus on and then highlighted it.

HOT!!!
St George, UT is one hot place!!!! It's been between 104 and 114 degrees for the last couple of weeks. I thank whom ever thought of putting in splash pads!!! Here we have one on main street, that has both a splash pad and a little river through it.
This is a pic of the river.
For this one I went with dark browns. I used; orton, cross process, ortrom, mascara 3 times, eye brighten, mascara again, and then tranquill
Then I was thinking, "How would this look in blues?" So I tinted it with blue and then brought out the darker lines with mascara and eye brighten.

Messy face?
Spaghetti for dinner = messy red face
I used Picmoney.com to turn the above into the below. I changed it to black and white in the Effects page. I then went into Touch up and played around with mascara to bring out and make the lines darker. In Touch up I also tinted his eyes blue and used eye brighten to make them stand out.
